How do we create governance and coordination mechanisms for the lunar surface?
The ASU Interplanetary Initiative, in collaboration with the Open Lunar Foundation, Secure World Foundation, MIT Media Lab, and For All Moonkind are producing credible, actionable mechanisms facilitating lunar coordination, policies, norms and laws.
- The Transmission: A newsletter bringing lunar matters down to Earth through commentary from some of the biggest names and brightest minds in lunar policy and technology,
- Action Teams: Lunar community actively discussing issues within three themes: Accessible Moon, Sustainable Moon and Peaceful Moon.
- Research Salons: Virtual gatherings to cultivate thought leadership on lunar surface coordination mechanisms to accelerate peaceful and sustained presence on the Moon.
- Published Lunar Policy Handbook.

Joe DuBois (firstname.lastname@example.org) has 30 years of experience in small satellite design and development. Starting in 1990, he helped grow the startup Spectrum Astro for 10 years and 5 spacecraft developments. His work at Spectrum Astro and later Honeywell earned him 7 patents for spacecraft architecture and components. In 2017, DuBois joined ASU as a lead in the development of the LunaH-Map cubesat. He is now at the ASU Interplanetary Initiative managing the Interplanetary Laboratory.
Lindy Elkins-Tanton is the vice president of the Interplanetary Initiative at ASU and Principal Investigator of the NASA Psyche mission. She received her doctorate from MIT in 2002.
